At Concept Mouldings we take our corporate social responsibility seriously. We achieved the ISO 14001 accreditation in 2006. We introduced initiatives such as waste streaming, to improve the recycling of waste throughout the facilities.
All Company cars are diesel fuel to reduce the CO2 emissions and wherever possible, the lowest emission vehicles were chosen. All company cars that can be fitted with an Endura FPS are, so that the risk of pedestrian injury when company vehicles are being driven is minimised. Vehicles which have a good Euro NCAP score are promoted as preferred vehicles within the company car scheme.

Wherever possible we specify local suppliers to encourage the development of local businesses and minimise our delivery miles for incoming goods.
We asked the Carbon Trust to visit us and evaluate the carbon footprint of the operations and we are acting on the subsequent report proposals and are looking into waste heat recycling.
We have created a green team which instigates and monitors energy saving opportunities such as our turn it off campaign, the team also proposed a motion sensor for the lighting in the toilets to avoid that the lights are accidentally left on.
Our nominated charity is the Anthony Nolan Trust, donations are made every year and employees also take part in fund raising activities, in 2008 the team are taking part in the 3 peaks challenge with sponsorship from the management. |
