Dealers Stop selling non compliant front bars

Since the introduction of the 2005/66/EC Frontal Protection Systems legislation came into force UK accessories dealers have stopped selling un-approved non compliant front bars.
Japanese4x4spares.co.uk published this statement on their web site.
DUE TO THE IMPENDING EU REGULATIONS ON FRONT
PROTECTION BARS WE HAVE HAD TO STOP SELLING
BULL AND NUDGE BARS FROM 26-11-2007
Vangadgets.co.uk has the following statement on their web site
Q: I thought that bullbars & nudge bars have all been made illegal ???
A: Some have! But not the ones VanGadgets sell! Ours are all fully UK road legal as they have all been crash-tested and comply with the new EU (type approval) legislation that's recently been introduced...
and Vanax.co.uk have this statement on their web site.
On this basis, Vanax Ltd have decided to withdraw from sale their entire range of bull and A-bars as the inevitable outcome is a grey period where prosecution may in fact take place. We are actively sourcing new front protection systems which will conform to the new regulation and we will keep you updated on this in due course.
GT towing has also removed all trace of bull bars from their web site.
We applaud these dealers for leading the way and helping to reduce the risk of injury to pedestrians.
